Scars can never be removed completaly. However, in many cases, their appearance can be improved so much that they become nearly invisible.
- Corticoid application – corticoids are injected directly in the scar. It causes decrease in collagen and enclosure of the scar. The result is visible within 2 weeks, the treatment may be repeated after 4-6 weeks.
- Scar laser treatment with vascular laser – repeating treatment diminishes the supply of the scar by small vessels. The scar is nourished limitedly, it gradually softens and fades.
- CO2 fractional laser can grind off a plastic hypertrophic scar (not keloid scar), the result is better if the scar is older and tranquil.
